This training is an overview of the dependency and neglect (D&N) and termination process, along with other critical junctures of Guardian ad Litem (GAL) work.
This training covers Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 40, the legal basics for GAL representation, the obligations of the GAL, what "best interest" means, phases of litigation, other typical events in the life of a D&N case, and termination of parental rights proceedings.
CLE: This course has been approved for 1.75 general hours.
- The approved CLE for this training includes an additional 15 minutes (.25 credit hour) to include time to complete the Pre-Training Quiz and Survey, and Post-Training Quiz, CLE Request and Training Evaluation. Kindly take your time to offer thoughtful responses to the questions.
- Partial credit is not given for distance learning courses.
- You may only receive CLE credit for the completion of on-demand distance learning courses one time, regardless of which calendar year the course was completed.
