Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts Director Deborah Taylor Tate will appear as a guest on OpenLine on Wednesday, August 21 from 7 -8 p.m. OpenLine is a nightly, live, current events based talk show hosted by NewsChannel 5’s Ben Hall and includes a viewer call-in segment.
The August 21 show will focus on the opioid epidemic and Director Tate will appear with Stephen W. Patrick, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., director Center for Child Health Policy and associate professor of pediatrics and health policy at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Director Tate is the co-chair of the National Judicial Opioid Task Force and served on the Legal Services Corporation’s Opioid Task Force. The NJOTF’s primary focus is to make recommendations to courts at every level to support the judiciary in helping individuals successfully recover from opioid use disorder and lead drug-free lives. The work of the group is undertaken by three workgroups—Children and Families, Civil and Criminal Justice, and Collaboration and Education—and includes dozens of tools and educational materials.
The show is livestreamed on newschannel5.com and is shown live on digital 5.2, Comcast 250, and Charter 182. It repeats at 10 p.m. and again the following day at 11 a.m.
