The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider eight applicants when it meets January 7, 2016 in Memphis to select nominees for the circuit court vacancy in the 30th Judicial District – Shelby County.
The vacancy was created by the death of the Honorable D’Army Bailey in July of this year.

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will interview the applicants on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the courtroom of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, 1 N. Front St, Memphis, 38103. The meeting will include a public hearing starting at 9:00 a.m. CST, during which anyone may express their opinions in opposition to the applicants. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public.
The council is expected to vote immediately following the interviews and forward the names to Gov. Bill Haslam for his consideration.
